Here they are, in no particular order:
1. I will lose 60 pounds.
At 60 pounds less than where I am today I'll weigh the same I did in
college - 143. I worked out regularly and felt fit back then. I've
never been a skinny girl - I've always been strong, muscular. So we're
shooting for that weight.
2. My fasting blood sugar will be below 95, on 5 out of 7 mornings that I test.
Lately my fasting blood glucose has been hanging out around 110 -
solidly in the prediabetic range. I had gestational diabetes, which
puts me at high risk for developing Type II diabetes. Plus, I just LOOK
like a Type II diabetic - I've got that whole Metabolic Syndrome
physique going on.
3. My blood pressure will return to the "normal range" - 120/80 or better, on 5 out of 7 days that I test.
Aside from when I was pregnant, I was never someone who had high blood
pressure. Until about 6 months ago, when I had a really stressful job
and I worked 70 hours a week and I gained 20 pounds. Now it's around
139/89 most days.
I guess that's enough goals for now. No need to go completely crazy.
